The method applied by CBSE to declare the result of cancelled papers
The conduction of the CBSE class 10th Board Exams was started as per the predefined schedule. Though the board had to drop off the exams midway due to help contain the spread of COVID-19 infection.
However, after mulling deep on the issue and considering several factors the board decided to award the results without conducting all the exams. In the case of exams that were not held due to the pandemic, the board has provided marks based on other subjects. For this, the board has used the average of the highest three marks obtained in the subjects for which the exams were held.
The board has cleared that in case the students who had appeared in three exams the result is based only on the best of the two papers. CBSE internal assessment will also be considered for those who appeared in one or two exams.
The candidates who have failed in one or two subjects will be provided with another attempt through supplementary papers. Although, the dates of CBSE class 10 supplementary exams have not been declared till now.
