The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has released the revised Class 12 English syllabus for the session 2022-23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below in this article, we will discuss the updated syllabus, important topics, and the weightage for the Class 12 English subject. Make sure that you should go through the comprehensive guide related to the CBSE Class 12 board English exam given below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CBSE Class 12 English Paper Patter 2022-2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CBSE Class 12 English question paper is divided into three sections: Section A, Section B and Section C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Section A \u2013 Class 12 CBSE English<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reading Skills \u2013 20 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reading comprehension through Unseen Passage \u2013 20 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One unseen passage to assess comprehension, interpretation, and inference (10*1=10 Marks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One unseen case-based passage with verbal\/visual inputs like statistical data, charts, and others (10*1=10 Marks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Section B \u2013 Class 12 CBSE English<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Creative Writing Skills \u2013 20 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The section has short and long writing tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Notice up to 50 words. One out of the two given questions is to be answered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formal\/Informal invitation and reply up to 50 words.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Letters based on verbal\/visual input, are to be answered in approximately 120-150 words.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Article\/ Report Writing, descriptive and analytical in nature, based on verbal inputs, to be answered in 120-150 words<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Section C \u2013 Class 12 CBSE English<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reference to Context \u2013 40 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section consists of a variety of questions including multiple choice questions, objective type questions, short answer type questions, and long answer type questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One Poetry extracts out of two from the book Flamingo (6\u00d71=6 Marks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One Prose extract out of two from the book Vistas (4\u00d71=4 Marks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One prose extracts out of two from the book Flamingo&nbsp;(6\u00d71=6Marks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short answer type question (from Prose and Poetry from the book Flamingo), to be answered in 40-50 words. Questions should elicit inferential responses through critical thinking. Five questions out of the six given are to be answered. (5\u00d72=10 Marks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Short answer type question, from Prose (Vistas), to be answered in 40- 50 words. (2\u00d72=4 Marks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One Long answer type question, from Prose\/Poetry (Flamingo), to be answered in 120-150 words.
