HRD Ministry clears date of board examinations; CBSE will conduct pending class 10, 12 exams from July 1 to 15

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal released a video on May 8th, twitter clearing all the earlier speculations regarding the class 10th and 12th Board Examinations. He said that in Inter (10+2) there are 12 main subjects that need to be covered. He also said that in northeast Delhi six papers of class 10th main subjects are remaining. Whereas for class 12th, 29 papers of main subjects are pending, and the examinations of these papers will be held. He also said that some students were doubting whether re-examinations will be done for the papers which were held previously. He clarified that these papers will not be held. Mr Pokhriyal said that there are a total of 83 papers in all, but examinations of the optional papers will be concluded on the basis of internal assessments. There are only 29 main papers which are remaining and examinations for these papers will be conducted between July 1st to July 15th.

Director of the Career Point Mr OM Maheshwari said that CBSE has also released a press release on its website – cbse.nic.in/newsite/ regarding the “Dates of remaining CBSE class X and XII exams”, on the same day. In the notification, CBSE states that it will hold remaining exams of class 10th and 12th between 1st to 15th of July, 2020. The notification also reasserts that the information regarding details of subjects for which exams will be held is mentioned in the earlier press release issued by the CBSE on April 1st, 2020. The date sheet and schedule of the pending board’s exams will be released soon by the board through the press release and its website.

He also said that Corovirus is mutating and so does the board examinations schedule.
