Another chance to failed students of CBSE Class 9th & 11th

Under the light of the CORONA crisis and it’s after effect, the CBSE Board has decided to provide another chance to all the failed students of class 9th and 11th. Mr Shailendra Maheshwari, Academic Director of Career Point said that the board has released a notification on May 13 circular asking the CBSE affiliated schools to re-conduct a school-based test. The notification mentions that along with others, students are also under mental stress and anxiety, and the students who have failed in their exams are more upset. The students of all other classes were promoted to the next class whereas the re-test will be conducted for the failed students of class 9th and 11th. The circular also asserts that school will extend Opportunity to the students, irrespective of the fact that whether the exams have been concluded and the results have been released, or whether the exams have not been completed. This opportunity will be extended to the students irrespective of the number of subjects and attempts.

The CBSE Schools will conduct online or offline innovative tests and decide promotion based on it. The notification also says that this test can be taken in all subjects in which they have failed. The schools will also provide sufficient time to prepare before conducting the test. The school will also give this chance even if the students have been given the opportunity of re-test earlier to this notification.

However, it is a single-time opportunity which is being extended only in the current year in the view Covid-19 outbreak and will not be extended in future.
