COMEDK UGET 2020 Exam – for B.Tech and B.Arch

On the 12th of May 2019, COMEDK UGET was conducted as an online examination across 300 centers across India for the Engineering programs. It was followed by offline counseling to offer around 20000 B.Tech and B.Arch seats. Likewise, COMEDK UGET 2020 is expected to be held in the second week of May 2020.

Details of COMEDK UGET 2020 Eligibility

For the admissions to B.Tech and B.Arch courses through COMEDK UGET 2020, certain eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech/B.E courses 

Following are the factors that are considered as the COMEDK UGET 2020 eligibility:-

10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations or Second PUC recognized by State or Central Government. Wherein, the last two years of study must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

The candidates should have passed these aforesaid subjects individually. Whereas, the unreserved/ general candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks while for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State it is 40%.

Physics and Mathematics are considered as compulsory subjects. While subjects like Chemistry or Bio-Technology or Biology or any other technical vocational courses can be considered as one of the optional subjects. Although, changes will be adopted if AICTE makes any changes in the eligibility criteria.

Note: – There is no provision of lateral entry admissions for the engineering courses hence, diploma candidates are not eligible to take this Entrance Test.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch courses

Candidates seeking admissions in B.Arch are eligible to apply only if they fulfill the criteria mentioned below:-

The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to the B. Arch course is similar to that of Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech/B.E courses, (i.e. second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics along with other subjects) or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central or State Government.

The candidates should have passed these aforesaid subjects individually, and the unreserved/ general candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. While for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State it is 45%.

The students must have appeared for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and scored a minimum of 80 out of 200 marks for both general and unreserved students.

Note: – candidates of architecture course don’t need to take this test, they just have to fill a separate application form for COMEDK UGET 2020.

COMEDK 2020 Exam Dates (Tentative)

Following are the tentative COMEDK 2020 Exam Dates

  • Availability of COMEDK application form – in the third week of January 2020
  • Initiation of COMEDK mock test 202 – in the first week of February 2020
  • Last date of COMEDK application form submission – in the third week of April 2020
  • Release of COMEDK admit card – in the first week of May 2020
  • COMEDK 2020 exam date – in the second week of May 2020
  • result of COMEDK result – in the last week of May 2020
  • COMEDK 2020 document verification – in the first week of July 2020

Processes of COMEDK UGET 2020

We have mentioned below the processes involved in COMEDK, which any COMED UGET 2020 aspirant will need to follow.

  • Registration

Registration for COMEDK UGET will be done in online mode through the official website. Where, the students need to pay Rs 1200 for attempting three subjects (PCM) and Rs 2000 for candidates attempting both COMEDK AND UniGAUGE.

  • Downloading Admit card

After the registration process is over, COMEDK 2020 admit card will be made available on the official website for download.

  • Exam

The aspirants will have to take the exam in online mode hence they are advised to take ample online practice to answer the paper comfortably.

  • Result

The result of will be declared online and will show the merit position of the candidate, score-card carrying total marks as well as marks obtained in each subject.

  • Counseling

The examination will get concluded by COMEDK 2020 counseling process which is expected to begin in June and will be announced on the official website.
