Q) How can I know whether I have qualified for JEE Advanced 2020 exam or not?

Ans.

NTA will release the JEE Main cutoff 2020 in near future. However, the experts of Career Point have asserted that around 88 percentile can be considered as the cutoff of JEE Main as per the stats and factors of the January session. But it may get changed after the April attempt.

If you have secured more than or equal to the JEE Main cut off, then you are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020.

Important Note: – only the top 2450000 qualified candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020.

Q) What is the NTA Score?

Ans.

NTA releases the result of JEE Main in the form of NTA Scores. These NTA Scores are the normalized scores of the examinations held in multiple sessions. And are based on the relative performance of all the candidates who had appeared in the JEE Main exam in one session. The obtained marks of the candidates are converted into a scale that ranges from 100 to 0 for each session.

Q) How does the NTA Score of the Candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2020 calculated?

Ans.

The NTA Score of a Candidate appearing in the JEE Main 2020 have been calculated as per the formula given below:(100 X Number of candidates appeared in ‘any particular Session’ with raw score Equal to or less than the candidate) ÷ (Total number of the candidates appeared in ‘that particular Session’)

Q) Are the results of January JEE Main 2020 an aggregate or average of the NTA Score of individual subjects?

Ans.

No, the result of January JEE Main 2020 released in the form of “NTA Score of the Total” is not aggregate or average of the NTA Score of individual subjects. The NTA Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below a particular candidate in that session.

Q) Is the NTA score same/ equivalent to the percentage of marks obtained?

Ans.

No, the NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.

Q) When will the NTA release the ranks/ AIR of the candidates who have appeared in JEE Main -2020 Exam?

Ans.

The ranks of the JEE MAIN -2020 candidates will be released after the April JEE Main -2020 exam. It will be prepared by considering best NTA Scores of all the candidates who have appeared in January JEE MAIN 2020 and April 2020 exam and on the lines of the NTA policy.
