HRD Ministry advises NTA to recommend its stand on the conduction of NEET & JEE Main 2020 by tomorrow

After the postponement of CBSE exams 2020 pending papers, the fate of NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 have been queued up for tomorrow, 3rd July. The CMD of Career Point, Mr Pramod Maheshwari informed that the Union HRD Ministry is deeply pondering regarding the conduction of these two exams.

Mr Maheshwari said that today on 2nd July, the Union HRD minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” has advised the NTA to review the situation & submit its recommendations to the HRD Ministry latest by tomorrow. The ministry has put this message in the public domain through the official social media handles of the MHRD.

The tweet made officially in this regard reads–

“Looking at the prevailing circumstances & requests received from students & parents appearing for #JEE & #NEET examinations, a committee consisting of @DG_NTA  & other experts has been advised to review the situation & submit its recommendations to @HRDMinistry latest by tomorrow.”

What did Dr Nishank asserted while addressing the students of JEE Main & NEET 2020?

The tweet also includes a video in which Dr Nishank was addressing the students of JEE Main & NEET 2020. In the video, he explained that the candidates of NEET & JEE Main 2020 were regularly putting up their requests to postpone these exams. In the past few days, the students, as well as their parents, were expressing their concerns and requests through emails, write-ups and on the social media of the MHRD. They were demanding to delay these two national level entrance exams in view of the prevalent grim situation of COVID-19 infection. Thus responding to the issue the Ministry of Human Resource Development asked the NTA to clear its stand on the conduction of these exams.
