NTA Postpones NEET-UG 2020 Amid COVID-19 Epidemic

NEET 2020 Postponed

Amid nationwide lock-down of 21 days in India due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has postponed the NEET UG 2020 exam that was scheduled to be organized on 3 May 2020.

Mr. Pramod Maheshwari CMD of one of the leading JEE and NEET Coaching Institute of Kota, Career Point informed that on March 27, 2020, the NTA has released a public notice regarding the Postponement of NEET-UG 2020. He further added that the Admit Cards for that were scheduled to be issued on March 27, 2020, will now be issued later, one the authorities assess the situation after 15th April.

Mr. Maheshwari also mentioned that the concerned students and their parents should not worry about the Exam, and utilize this time to prepare for the NEET UG 2020 and focus on critical concepts.

He also pointed out that in the official notification regarding the Postponement of NEET-UG 2020, Mr. Vineet Joshi Director General of NTA has said that-

“We are hopeful that we would get back to normal situation relatively soon; but for now, various concerned ministries and examination boards are examining the scenario to evaluate the situation that may necessitate any change in the schedule. As of now, the exam is proposed to be held in the last week of May 2020. The exact date will be announced later on after assessing the situation.”

The notification also mentions that NTA would keep updating the concerned students about the latest developments and would inform them about the changes well before in time. The registered students of NEET-UG 2020 will be informed individually through their registered mobile number or their registered email-id.
