After CBSE, now the CISCE has also allowed their students to take their pending ICSE, ISC board exams from another city/district/state where they had migrated under the lock-down. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), is a national-level board of school education.
Mr Shailendra Maheshwari, Academic Director of Career Point asserted that now the CISCE board will also allow their students to appear for their pending board papers from their current place. They will be allowed to take the CISCE Board Examinations from the exam centres developed in the CISCE affiliated schools in the city, district or state where they had moved due to the lock-down imposed in the wake of pandemic COVID-19.
Earlier to this, CBSE had allowed the students to take exams from their home. It was done for the students who had migrated to another city, or state in the wake of lock-down imposed in India due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Mr Maheshwari said that it has been decided since some candidates have requested to make arrangements that will allow them to take the remaining papers of the CISCE Board exams from another city/district/state. These candidates had registered for the CISCE board exams 2020. But they are currently not present in their state/city/district where they had registered for the ICSE 2020 and ISC 2020 exams due to the on-going lockdown.
However, the official notice of the CISCE mentions that the students can formally request for a change in examination centres via schools where the students had been registered for the CISCE Board exams 2020 latest by 7th of June, 2020. However, no money will be charged to change the examination centre.
He further added that the circular also asserts that the CISCE will also aid the students who are unable to take the remaining papers of the exams if they have been impacted by the COVID-19. They will be allowed to appear for the board papers when the CISCE 2020 compartmental exams will be conducted.
The press release also mentions that the detailed guidelines for the conduct of the pending papers of ICSE, ISC 2020 exams will be sent to the examination centres by CISCE very soon.
