This year, the CBSE board has introduced an option for Basic Mathematics in CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020. And as per the sources, it seems to be getting popular among the class 10th CBSE board students.

Even though the syllabus remains the same, the Basic Mathematics paper in CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020 will be much simpler compared to the Standard Mathematics question paper.

As per the media reports, many schools have asserted that around 50% of the class 10 students have opted for the basic mathematics option.

Although, the exact number of candidates who have enrolled for Basic Mathematics in CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020 is not clear.

Also, it is being speculated that after considering the feedback received over the years, CBSE rolled the option to take up a simpler paper in Mathematics.

This simpler paper in Maths is meant for all those students who are not planning to continue Maths in their higher secondary classes i.e. in class 11th and 12th.

It is being noticed that the increased number of students are opting out of Mathematics. The option of Basic Mathematics over standard Mathematics in CBSE BOARD EXAMS 2020 has let the students to opt-out of mathematics.

Choosing Basic Mathematics will make sure that the students have a higher aggregate marks percentage in the CBSE board examinations 2020. Certainly, the Basic Mathematics in the CBSE board examinations 2020 will help the students to improve their overall board results.

All those students who are opting for Basic Mathematics will also have an option to appear for standard mathematics. This would be beneficial in the case if any student decides to pursue mathematics in class 11th and 12th. Such candidates will have to appear for the Standard Mathematics examination in the upcoming July Compartment Exam.
